ClickBank Competitive Analytics

CB-Analytics displayed search engine ranking data for all clickbank website for quite some time now. This data was kindly provided by SeoDigger service. Recently SeoDigger team developed a 2nd generation of the service and released it under SemRush.com brand.
According CB-Analytics was also upgraded. Information about MSN rankings is gone as SemRush doesn't provide it anymore. Instead you can see information about AdWords keywords that publisher uses to advertise his product directly.
While integrating this new data I stumbled upon a hidden gem. A way to see large portion of direct PPC campaigns of all affiliates for all products. This only applies to the campaigns that link directly to the product landing page. However there is good in it. Usually such campaigns run in extremely high competition (because there is a limit to only 1 ad displayed for specific domain. This would mean that if same keywords are there for the same publisher and affiliate now and a month from now - they convert. Obviously nobody would want to loose money on a campaign for this long. The report that holds this data is available by querying SemRush for clickbank.net. Without subscription you would be able to see only first 10 results of 17K+ which is not a whole lot. Basic membership for $19.99 per month would reveal top 1000 keywords, Pro ($49.99 per month) would show top 10,000 which is more than 50%. There is also Enterprise subscription that runs for $499.99 per month that would reveal all of the keywords. However since keywords are sorted by search volume and PPC price even seeing top portion is beneficial. Also by subscribing you would be able to get competitive intelligence on any website or keyword (not just ClickBank related)
Of course I can't just make this information publicly available here because that wouldn't be fair towards SemRush with whom I have long established partnership. I'll try to work out a deal that would allow me to publish at least some of this information on Cb-Analytics but I can't guarantee it now.

What Clickbank product should I promote?.. Which ClickBank products convert?.. These are the most frequent questions asked around ClickBank forums. While I can't advise you on which products to promote I've been monitoring all of the products for most than a year by now and I can show you products which had highest sustained gravity during the last year. Products on this list attracted a lot of affiliates on a regular basis. This much is certain. Most of these products have large numbers of loyal affiliates that keep promoting them. So these products just must convert otherwise affiliates would ditch them and gravity would decline. When this post was published these were the top 5:
Total gravity is updated on a daily basis. Though for obvious reasons top products by this criteria are slow to change. Starting today this data is available on product pages, search results (Σ value in the gravity row). You can also sort by it both in search results and category lists. While this information should come as little surprise to experienced ClickBank affiliates these products should be a good place for newbies to start exploring to learn what a good product should look like.

While Clickbank is a great affiliate network it lacks when it comes to bringing affiliates and publishers together. One aspect of it is that it is hard for new publishers to find affiliates. Few affiliates closely monitor the new Clickbank products feed and even of those that do hardly any really visit every one of the dozens of products that are registered daily... This is just too much information.
Daily hundreds of Clickbank affiliates visit Clickbank Analytics and many of them are looking for new good products to promote. However I don't want to clobber the website with too much information. This is why I've created Clickbank product blog where select new and existing products will be announced. You can read anout it's content and rules in detail here. However here is in a nutshell:
- For affiliates - subscribe to this blog with your favorite reader and you'll get hand-picked and pre-filtered announcements about products worth promoting. I promise no less than 1 post a week and no more than 1 per day do keep the amount of information reasonable. I will choose products that will get announced myself to keep the BS out. Comments associated with the post are a great place to share ideas and feedback with fellow affiliates or publisher regarding a specific product.
- For publishers - if you believe that you have a good product email a press-release to and I'll review and publish it if it looks OK. After all most likely you already have a press release ready so why not send it to me? The text should be no more than 300 words long and should give affiliates good understanding of what product is about and why is it worth promoting. Just listing conversion rates in caps and bold doesn't cut it. Please take a look at previous posts to see what proper description should look like. Latest blog post is featured on the homepage of Clickbank Analytics so even affiliates who don't subscribe to the blog will read about your product!

There is a major update to the website. Please visit "Getting started" for complete list of features and help.
Here is a brief list of what's new:
- Parametric search - you can now filter search results based on gravity, EPS, other numberic parameters and their combination
- Personal homepage - if you visit same product pages on a regular basis you can add them to the list of your favorite products in "personalize" section and see them all in one glance
- New look and feel. I've tried to make the website even more functional without sacrificing simplicity and speed. "Money green" is the new theme rather than good old pink

You can now personalize CB-analytics by entering your affiliate id here. This will cause hoplinks on the product pages to be created properly. All you need to do is copy and paste.
This also allows you to use cloaking (including referer cloaking) via www.cloakreferer.com
